Top 5 Politicians You Will Learn From Their Political Careers

In Nigeria of nowadays, there are so many better people the youths chose as their mentors, from the rich personnel to popular celebrities , some find it easy to chose some people abroad as examples of what they would like to be in the future.

Many Nigerians are getting it wrong, probably because of the dirty paints attached to the bodies of these politicians in the News Today of Nigeria politics.

Not only Nigeria, if you search for world news,  or any latest news, hardly will you see a single politician regardless of his positive impacts, that would not have his own critics. But you will agree with me after going through this post that as bad as Nigerian politicians are, these five people with some points from their political lives still give us some vital things to learn from:

5. OLUSEGUN OBASANJO:

Olusegun Obasanjo is someone I would call "FATHER OF THE NATION". The man ruled this nation once upon a time as a military head of state and later as a democratic president of the federal republic of Nigeria. What is more inspiring in OBJ's life is that when he was coming from the rough journey, he overcame so many obstacles that should have got his life before today. From the time of the attacks of his strong enemy "Late Sanni Abacha" that his clear intention was to send Obasanjo out of the world. OBJ survived so many attacks from the man and made his way to be the president of the nation where his enemies never wanted him to rule. But see his history, he is being referred to by some people as the best president his country has ever had.

Please, whatever obstacle you are currently facing,  whoever the people that are blocking your way from reaching where you want to be, never give up, fight it to the last as this is what we learnt from the precious story of this great man. I havent seen anything that would happen in Nigeria that will not pass through Obasanjo. He wouldn't have been there if not for the agility and passion to reach where he wanted to be.

4. MUHAMMADU BUHARI:

PMB as he's fondly called is the present president of Nigeria. We all know his story as a regular contestant for the post of presidency in the country. Some people already tagged him as a born loser that would never rule his country again. He never relent and kept on chasing the post he knew for sure that one day, he would reach there. The best of a man's story is the attitude, while Nigerians were in need  of someone to oppose the seating president, there were so many choices, richer, famous and more popular than Muhammadu Buhari, but yet, he was the chosen one, What more could have helped him if not for his clean records, calmness and attitude recorded in his past years? which teaches us to be good to people in whatever we are doing and never relent in chasing what our heart need.

3.AYODELE FAYOSE:

Ayodele Fayose is the current Governor of Ekiti state in Nigeria, No politician would make a better entertaining headline in the news than this man, he's a confident man that speaks whatever talks he wishes. While some people call him THUG, I call him Legend. His political career is a lesson to Nigerian youths. He was once impeached as the governor of the state. He came to protest against his opponent and the report claimed he won without his opponent winning just one point.

Why?? The people of his state loves him to the extent that some of them vowed they can sacrifice their lives for the man. There isn't any special reason for all these, the man is a friend to the masses, unlike other governors that would never be seen by some inhabitants of the state throughout his tenure, this man is seen on so many occasions wining and dining with the poor people on the street of his state. Tell me who wouldn't love this kind of man.  He lowers his wings of humility whenever he's around the poor. Reports claimed the day the man was inaugurated, to show sign of respect to the needy, he drove inside a 1957 model car, even though that might be the last day he would enter the car, at least, its a signal and message to some people out there. CLICK HERE to view the motor he drove to the inauguration. Let us all emulate this attitude of Fayose, let's be humble not only to your friends but to the needy.

2. BOLA AHMED TINUBU:

Probably the most intelligent politician in Nigeria. Asiwaju is a former governor of the most blessed state in Nigeria "Lagos". He's the leader of the current ruling party in Nigeria. If not for Tinubu, many politicians in this country would be irrelevant and unnoticeable. He has turned lives of people around positively. He popularized his party from nothing to something. All what his party turned to today, is the work of Jagaban. He made people governors of states, and his immense support in letting the current president achieve that seat can never be overwritten. he's a god to the politicians.

He's a one man mopol that can fight on his own that the number of people survived through him are countless. I haven't seen what will happen in today's politics that would not involve him. His political career teaches us to be the best at what we are doing and never settle for less. Don't ever wish to be the second best. Be the best amongst your peers.

1. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN:

The immediate past president of the federal republic of Nigeria, to me is the most fortunate politician in the world,  from the post of deputy governor, to governor, then to the post of vice president. he later became the acting president and then became the president of the country. Whaaaat!!!! The odd of  millions goes to only him. Though he re-contested and lost the bid, what of someone who has been dreaming to become a governor for years.

Despite enormous criticisms, he never relented, he was a gentle man with so many philosophies. And again, God blessed him with a wife that supports him privately and publicly. He changed our orientation about politics in Nigeria, that it's not a do or die affair. He demonstrated a fair attitude by wishing his opponent a successful tenure even before the announcement of the governing body.

Today, people are calling him hero of democracy, his final behavior as the president of Nigeria made some of his haters change their mindset towards him. In everything we do, let us all be positive-minded. always go calm and never make violence your priority, you wouldn't know when God will unseat you. that's the lesson the political career of GEJ taught us.
